- You have a wide variety of professionals available to participate in the rehabilitation and care of your patients. Are these contracted employees or Rainbow staff?
- Rainbow employs its own full-time team of professionals in the fields of psychology, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, nursing and more. To ensure employee commitment, Rainbow employs its own staff and generally uses contract labor only when a position is in transition. This is a Rainbow hallmark and something we feel is essential to the success of our program.
- What is the staff-to-patient ratio?
- Each facility at Rainbow is part of our rehabilitation continuum. The staff-to-patient ratio is determined by considering the nature of the program and the needs of the individuals residing in the facility. With the exception of certain independent apartments, our facilities are staffed 24 hours a day.
- Is Rainbow's program licensed or accredited?
- Rainbow has been awarded the highest level of accreditation in Brain Injury Community-Integrative and Pediatric Family-Centered Rehabilitation programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This accreditation means Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers is included in the ranks of the nation's highest quality providers. We are monitored and measured by CARF's national standards. Rainbow's homes are licensed by the state of Michigan. We have an excellent track record with our inspections and have always been approved for re-licensure at all of our locations. Rainbow's outpatient facility in Ypsilanti is certified as a CORF (Certified Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility.)
