For restoring self-confidence and self-respect, nothing compares to a paycheck and a job well done. Rainbow's Vocational Program provides a variety of environments from structured settings to community-based employment, allowing our clients to learn new skills or regain old ones.

When a client enters our program, a vocational specialist conducts an evaluation to assess strengths and weaknesses then recommends one of the following courses of action:

  • Further development of physical and/or social skills
  • A simulated work trial
  • In-house employment at Rainbow
  • Participation in Rainbow's sheltered workshop
  • Employment in a supervised community work group
  • Return to the previous place of employment or to other community-based employment
