Lynn Brouwers Elected President of Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council

YPSILANTI, Mich., Oct. 22, 2009— The Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council (MBIPC) held a meeting in early October to elect officers and appoint Committee Chairs. Lynn Brouwers, Program Director at Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers, was elected President of the Council.

Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers has been involved with the MBIPC since its inception and has had several employees serve on the council’s Board of Directors over the years.

Two other Rainbow employees were appointed to chair committees on the MBIPC Board of Directors, including:
  • Membership Committee Chair Lisha Clevenger, Director of Admissions and Marketing/Program Director at Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers.
  • Publicity and Directory Committee Chair, Char Combs, Program Director of Functional Recovery, a division of Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers providing Home- and Community- Based Rehabilitation Services.

"I am pleased that we are able to continue to contribute to the success of the MBIPC in a meaningful way," said Bill Buccalo, President of Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers. "The outgoing Council President, Kim Swartz, along with the entire board, has done a tremendous job over the past years to raise the value of the council to the brain injury community. It has been an incredibly dedicated group. I am sure the new board under Lynn's leadership will continue in that tradition."
