Top issues are maintaining PIP benefit and Michigan's motorcycle helmet law

Brain injury associations spend day in Lansing for Capitol Day 2011

The Brain Injury Association of Michigan (BIAMI) and the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council (MBIPC) will hold their second annual Capitol Day in Lansing on May 18, 2011.Over 100 people interested in supporting persons with brain injury and their families plan to attend.

The top two issues include maintaining Michigan’s personal injury protection benefit under Michigan automobile insurance; and maintaining the Michigan motorcycle helmet law. Enforcement of the helmet law saves hundreds of people from death and disability each year.

The day will include personal visits with legislators, a legislative update and advocacy training.
