Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers purchases facility to house growing vocational rehabilitation program for those with brain and spinal cord injuries

LIVONIA, MI, January 4, 2012 — Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers is pleased to announce that it recently purchased the former RM Auctions building in Ypsilanti, MI. The building will be used to house its growing vocational rehabilitation program for individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries.

“The facility is a perfect fit for us,” said Rainbow’s President Bill Buccalo. “It’s large enough to allow us to expand the variety of work opportunities available for our clients, and its location is close to our treatment center and residential homes in this area.”

Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers provides comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services and offers vocational training opportunities through a subsidiary company called Rainbow Industries Production Company, LLC (RIPCO).

Persons served at the facility can participate in projects such as light assembly work, assembly and selling of quality outdoor furniture and running an online business (shopripco.com), to name a few. Individuals served also participate in community-based enclaves, continuing education, and community-based volunteer experiences.

“This new facility allows us to add retail services, expand our day treatment programs and vocational counseling, and get more of our team under one roof. This will result in overall improved customer service,” said Lynn Brouwers, program director at Rainbow.

Rainbow is currently finalizing its needs for the building. They anticipate they will move in by mid-spring.
