Mission/Service Philosophy

The mission of Functional Recovery is to provide home- and community-based functional therapeutic interventions for adult and pediatric clients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other neurological or orthopedic dysfunction. These interventions are goal-oriented, team-driven and individualized to promote recovery in one’s real-life setting.

Therapeutic intervention in one’s home environment is a very effective means of ensuring long-term functional recovery. A transdisciplinary team (physical, occupational and speech therapists) is essential to provide the most cohesive plan and to deliver exemplary rehabilitative care. Functional Recovery believes that duration of care must be guided by the client’s needs and functional progress.
