Licensed Adult Foster Care Facilities and Child Caring Institutions

Rainbow group homes are licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services—Office of Children and Adult Licensing—as either Adult Foster Care Facilities or Child Caring Institutions. In Rainbow's Child Caring Institutions, we may treat children and adolescents in the age range of 6 to 17. In Adult Foster Care Facilities, we may treat individuals age 18+.

Licensing requirements focus heavily on consumer health, safety and welfare. As an organization, each of our homes is in compliance with these standards. This ensures an appropriate environment for residents working toward rehabilitation goals and that all residents, staff and visitors are all provided with a clean, safe environment.
