Families who provide at-home care for a child with a brain injury may occasionally need supplemental, short-term help. Rainbow welcomes these children into our Residential Program and provides a warm, safe, home-style environment seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

The average length of stay is variable and will be arranged to fit your personal needs. Often, children who participate in our Respite Care Program look forward to our fun activities and thoroughly enjoy the company of peers. When prescribed and appropriate, they can also benefit from therapeutic support to help them develop skills and function.

Respite Care children receive the same level of professional care and treatment as full-time Rainbow residents.

Rainbow's Continuum of Care spans a broad range of brain and spinal cord injury recovery and rehabilitation services including: medical, physical, cognitive, occupational, psycho-social, behavioral, vocational, educational, and recreational. Learn more.
