Created by pediatric rehabilitation specialists, our programs are designed for children and teens with brain injuries who need structure and supervision when school is not in session.
Elementary School Age - For young children, interactive activities make learning fun. Books and toys fill the needs of this age group. Hands-on crafts and working in groups reinforce the success of doing a project independently or with needed assistance.
Middle School Age - The Rainbow team understands the struggles this group has transitioning from children to teenagers. This group is still involved with play and craft activities with their peers, while being introduced to the values and behaviors of teens. They are also introduced to "work" as they participate in prevocational activities.
High School Age - Teens get involved in groups, projects and activities that emphasize independence. Employment and work skills programs are a priority as many adolescents are experiencing their first jobs. Outings reflect age-appropriate interests.
Postsecondary Age - Older adolescents in the postsecondary group participate in activities that focus on independent living and vocational skills. Paid employment in a structured environment reinforces job skills and learning throughout the summer. This group has the opportunity to practice social interactions with peers and within the community.
