
When clients have acquired daily living skills, they are ready for our Semi-Independent Living Program. Here, clients explore their abilities in the community while still benefiting from contact with Rainbow's rehabilitation staff and professional therapy team. With home or apartment options, this multi-tiered, transitional program offers a safe and supportive environment as individuals take critical steps toward independence. The graduated levels within the program provide the level of support and independence appropriate to each person's unique needs. Rainbow staff provides assistance as needed.
Program features include:
- On-site rehabilitation treatment team
- Mental health professionals and rehabilitation nurses
- Case managers, program directors and nurses on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Therapeutic groups focused on independent living skills and community reintegration
- Practical training in activities of daily living such as housekeeping, using public transportation, vocational training and support, etc.
