We are excited to announce that we are nearing completion of our newest residential facility, the Southfield Center. The Southfield Center will be completed this month and will offer clients an additional high-quality rehabilitation opportunity at Rainbow.
The Southfield Center makes sense for a variety of reasons. The Center is located in the heart of Oakland County and in close proximity to several other nearby communities including Detroit, Royal Oak, Warren, Redford, and Bloomfield. The Center is located close to several major highways as well as on a bus route, providing greater opportunities for community reintegration and accessibility for both clients and supporting families.
As with all of our homes, we really want to make sure the Southfield Center feels special. The whole building has been designed to provide clients with a warm and inviting setting to support the recovery process. A water feature has been incorporated to set the mood as people enter the Center.
There are 14 individual bedrooms along with accessible bathrooms in each. This is not too big, but also not too small. Several common areas have been incorporated to create spaces to encourage socialization and promote a family feel, including an outdoor patio off of the dining room.
Understanding that participation in early and intensive therapy can be critical to regaining skills following serious accidents or illness, clients will have full access to Rainbow’s professional therapy team with offerings right on site at the Southfield Center and at our full-service outpatient center located just a few miles away.
We are excited about this new residential location and what it will offer our clients. ❚
