Bill Buccalo works to support the organization and fellow employees in creating a dynamic collection of programs, administered by outstanding people, with the goal of providing clients with world class treatment.
Bill has extensive experience in strategic planning and positioning, program development and performance management, banking and financial planning, risk management, and revenue cycle management. He has been with Rainbow since 1990.
Bill is the former Board Chairman of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan, Board Member of the Brain Injury Association of America’s Business and Professionals Council, and is currently the Treasurer of the Michigan Brain Injury Providers Council.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant status from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
Chad has extensive experience and company knowledge in business management and planning, financial planning, accounting, employee benefit and retirement plans, and risk management. He joined Rainbow in 1995 as an accountant.
Chad earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration in Troy, MI.
As Vice President of Business Development, Susan is responsible for leading the business development efforts of the organization by supporting the expansion of current business as well as developing new business. Susan works collaboratively with the Executive Team and other leadership to develop and implement strategy and ensure the achievement of business development goals.
Susan has over 35 years of health care management and clinical experience with most of those years involved with strategic planning, business development, and execution of marketing initiatives within a variety of post-acute care providers. She has a strong knowledge of effective sales management practices and strategies along with skills in financial management and planning.
Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Dr. Nanzer brings with him nearly 15 years of experience as a physical therapist in a variety of settings, and 10 years of health care leadership. Prior to joining Rainbow, he served as the Administrative Director of Clinical Services and interim COO at a large, Michigan-based hospital system and has worked in most settings of physical therapy throughout his career.
He holds a MBA from Wayne State University and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in addition to his bachelor’s degrees in Health Science and Kinesiology. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in both Michigan and Florida, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and holds certifications in Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints.
Dr. Nanzer is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders. This distinction demonstrates a commitment to excellence in serving our patients and the community.
Dr. Nanzer has served as former Chairman of the Eastern District of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association, and currently serves as the Co-Chair of the membership committee of the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is also a member of numerous committees through the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and a Member of the New England Journal of Medicine’s Insights Council. He is a member of American Physical Therapy Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Honors Fraternity for Business Majors.
Gigi brings with her almost 20 years of experience working in human resources, primarily in health care.
She graduated from Oakland University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in human resources development and training. She has been a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration.
He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the area of Information Technology and Professional Management. Prior to joining Rainbow, Brandon was responsible for IT strategic direction, project management, and web development practices. He was also the Chief Information Officer for a practice where he managed multiple implementation initiatives focused on patient care, health care workflow, and call center operations.
Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Professional Management from Albion College and the Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management.
Dr. White is an accomplished health care and brain injury professional with over 35 years of management and clinical experience. Janice has opened and operated several brain injury programs during her career and served in many roles including CEO of an acute rehabilitation hospital, director of an inpatient facility and a speech-language pathologist.
Dr. White earned a Ph.D. in Communications Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA.
Lynn Brouwers joined Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers in 2008 as a Director in the area of Program Development.
Lynn has more than 30 years of leadership experience in medical rehabilitation with a specialty in programs for persons with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. She has directed and managed CARF Accredited brain injury rehabilitation programs in acute rehabilitation, subacute rehabilitation, residential rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, and home and community services.
Lynn is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer, Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists. She is a Past President of the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council where she served for 26 years. She is also a former member of the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan and was appointed by the Governor to the Michigan TBI Services and Prevention Committee. She also works as a surveyor for CARF International.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Hope College in Holland, MI, and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Services from the University of Wisconsin in Menomonie, WI.
Mark Evans oversees clinical logistics, assists with aspects of corporate compliance and process improvement and manages client satisfaction and outcomes reporting.
Mark’s experience in the field of brain injury includes a variety of areas, both clinical and administrative. Mark began his career at Rainbow in 1988.
He currently serves as the Vice President of the Detroit chapter of the Case Management Society of America.
Mark has a Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He is a Board Certified Case Manager, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.
Dr. Colin King has a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. King has more than eighteen years of experience as a psychologist in clinical practice. He is certified as a Sentence Mitigation Specialist, Forensic Addiction Examiner, also Board Certified as a National Counselor and fully licensed Psychologist.
His focus consists of severe behaviors, dual diagnosis, substance abuse and the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Dr. King is active in the education and supervision of therapists and clinicians in his at Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers. Dr. King focuses on the administration and development of programs for adult clients with traumatic brain injuries and severe behaviors, substance abuse and/or psychiatric disorders at Rainbow.
Marianne has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University. She is the Director of Case Management at Rainbow and the lead of Rainbow’s Infection Control Committee.
With over 39 years of experience in the medical field, Marianne has extensive knowledge and practical experience. She has previously worked as a nurse in a hospital setting, Employee Health Nurse, Director of Occupational Health Services, Medical Case Manager and Admissions Manager.
Dr. Scott provides neuropsychological and psychological services at Rainbow. Working with residential and outpatient clients, she conducts both brief and expanded neuropsychological evaluations as well as group and individual psychotherapy. Dr. Scott also provides consultation services on client and team matters. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Scott is involved in administrative and educational activities, including the coordination of a committee which examines ethical, clinical, and financial risks and promotes achievement of patient goals. She also oversees the direction of an on-going educational series for therapists throughout Rainbow.
Dr. Scott earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University. After she completed an APA-approved internship at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, she then completed specialized postdoctoral training in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. During this training, Dr. Scott worked with individuals, both inpatient and outpatient, who had experienced traumatic brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Kimberly Wagenknecht is Rainbow’s Clinical Director of Nursing. She is responsible for supervision and oversight of medical, nursing, dietary, and respiratory services across the Rainbow continuum. She is also involved with coordination and development of client and staff education materials, along with policy and procedure development and review as it relates to client care.
She started working at Rainbow in July of 2006. Before joining Rainbow, Kimberly worked at an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit for a large, Michigan-based hospital for nearly 19 years. Her specialty diagnosis of choice was traumatic brain injury.
Kimberly graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BSN and earned a specialty certification in general rehabilitation in 1999 (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse — CRRN). She became certified as a Brain Injury Specialist in April 2011 and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer in 2016. She has been a Board Member of the Michigan Chapter of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses since 2014 and is currently the President-Elect.
Dr. Young is a licensed clinical psychologist and Director of Pediatric Services at Rainbow. She has administered the development and coordination of outpatient, day treatment and residential programming for children, adolescents and young adults with TBI.
She presents locally, nationally and internationally on topics related to the treatment of young survivors and is a regular contributor to RainbowVisions, a publication for brain and spinal cord injury, survivors and their families.
Dr. Young received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and a Masters of Arts and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Dr. Cruz serves as the Divisional Director responsible for the Genesee Treatment Center in Genesee County, MI and Rainbow’s Home and Community Services program.
Marissa Cruz has over 10 years of management experience in various clinical settings including her most recent experience in home care and home- and community-based organizations.
Marissa received a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College, Boston, MA. She is a Geriatric Certified Specialist and a member of the Michigan and American Physical Therapy Association.
Aaron serves as a Director of Operations overseeing our adult residential programs and the Vocational Rehab Campus in Ypsilanti, Mich.
Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Services Management from University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Ariz. He has over 20 years of leadership experience in areas including culinary arts, humanitarian aid, workforce development and residential programming for individuals with traumatic brain injury.
Sue Finney serves as a Divisional Director overseeing adult and pediatric residential homes, outpatient programs and vocational services at multiple locations throughout Oakland County in Michigan. She also acts as the school liaison for Rainbow, administers tutoring, and oversees the After School and Summer Fun! programs which support the educational goals of Rainbow’s student population. Sue works closely with Rainbow’s treatment teams, parents and patients to ensure client programs are successful.
Sue Finney has worked in the field of traumatic brain injury since 1992.
Sue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI.
Jamie Nicoloff is a Divisional Director overseeing the Ypsilanti Treatment Center, Ann Arbor Specialized Residential Program and Adult Residential Homes for Rainbow Rehabilitation Centers in Ypsilanti, MI.
Dr. Nicoloff has over eight years of clinical and operational leadership in various clinical settings, and brings over 14 years of clinical experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, including orthopedics, acute care and post-acute rehabilitation. Most recently, Dr. Nicoloff was a clinical supervisor for a Michigan-based home health care agency, overseeing all clinical staff and daily operations.
Dr. Nicoloff received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Greg Rostker serves as a Divisional Director overseeing a variety of adult residential homes, semi-independent apartment settings and an outpatient center.
Greg has worked in the field of traumatic brain injury since 1986 with treatment teams at major hospitals treating individuals with both brain and spinal cord injuries. He has clinical and administrative experience with inpatient, outpatient and residential rehabilitation.
Tammy joined Rainbow in 2005 as a Rehabilitation Assistant. She quickly moved into the position of Residential Program Manager and has also played a significant role in the development of The Rainbow U Day Treatment Program.
In 2017 she was promoted to Divisional Director of the NeuroRehab Campus® and the Southfield Center.
